Pekapeka Tou Roa Educational Resource
As part of a Citizen Science initiative to help save the Pekakpeka, the native Long-tailed Bat, Community Waitakere commissioned A2 posters for schools and distribution throughout the community.
Primarily for schools, year 5 to 13, this poster is a resource giving a detailed background on the bat, as well as information on what can be done to help track and preserve the species. It had to make a large amount of information readable and engaging on different levels, for a broad readership, as well as making the process of gathering data from home approachable and accessible.

The magnificently detailed hand-painted bat illustrations are by Erin Forsyth and the Tā Moko Illustration is by Te Haunui Tuna.

from the archive

This set includes a small edited archive of some of the more interesting graphics and design projects of the last couple of decades.

These have included identity graphics, branding, promotional graphic design, web and interactive design, packaging, book design, catalogues, brochures, and some architectural glass projects.

Prior to founding DV8 Creative, Stephen worked as a glass artist specialising in architectural graphics and sandblasted glass, exhibiting in NYC in 1992, and with much work still in place around NZ.
